06 more people arrested for attending Colombo Hotel party

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 06 more people for attending a birthday party at a star class hotel in Colombo disregarding quarantine rules and regulations.

"05 males and 01 female were arrested on Tuesday (01)," said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana adding they will be produced to the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.

On Monday (31), Sri Lanka's famous event organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe and actress Piumi Hansamali were arrested and released on bail over the same offense.

They were ordered to place a personal bail of Rs. 01 Million each.

DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the Fort Police assigned a special police team to locate and arrest the others who attended the party.
