COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Fort Police arrested Chandimal Jayasinghe, Sri Lanka’s famous make-up artist and actress Piumi Hansamali for the violation of quarantine laws.

Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said the suspects had hosted a birthday party at a hotel in Colombo on Sunday (30) night.

The suspects will be produced at the Colombo Magistrate’s Court and will be charged under quarantine laws as well as the Penal Code.

In addition, the police had observed CCTV footage of the venue and it was revealed that 25 people had attended the birthday party.

“12 of them were identified and investigations are underway to identify the rest of the party-goers,” said the Police Spokesperson.
