COLOMBO (News1st): The World Health Organization said that the first dose of the AstraZeneca jab will provide immunity for six months against COVID-19. Previously, the global health body had recommended that the second dose must be administered between 8 to 12 weeks of receiving the jab. The World Health Organization had noted that the first jab would not have to be administered again even if the period lapses.
