793 people died of COVID-19 since 15th April 2021 - NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st); 793 people have died of COVID-19 since the 15th of April 2021 (Post-New Year Cluster), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

463 of these victims were males and the remaining 330 were females, it added.

Only 13 deaths were reported during the 01st wave of COVID-19 while 1,392 deaths were reported from the 04th of October 2020, which is the second wave of the coronavirus.
