NPP lawyers raise concern over Estate Management company at Port City

COLOMBO (News 1st); Attorney-at-Law Sunil Watagala alleges the asset the management company inside the Colombo Port City area will be providing the services to the Colombo Port City, including gas, water, electricity, and communication services.

"This company must be registered under the companies act," he said at a media briefing organized by the Lawyers of National People's Power.

"Upon making inquiries over the matter, we discovered that Chathura Cabraal, the son of State Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal was connected to it," said Attorney-at-Law Watagala.

He went on to note "The business card reads, Chathura Cabraal - Manager - Estate Management at CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd," adding that the said company belongs to the son of State Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal.

The government is concealing fact regarding this matter, adding this company was formed even before the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill is passed.
