All economic centers closed as a result of travel restrictions

COLOMBO (News 1st); All economic centers in Sri Lanka will remain closed from the night of the 21st of May to early morning on the 25th of May.

The Ministry of Agriculture said after briefly opening on the 25th of May, all economic centers will again be closed from the night of the 25th to early morning on the 28th of May.

The government-imposed travel restrictions were cited as the reason for the closure of all economic centers in the country.

However, farmers will be given an opportunity to move their produce to the economic centers on the 24th of May.
