COLOMBO (News 1st); K. Mathivanan, Bandula Warnapura, and Nishantha Ranatunga have decided to withdraw from the Sri Lanka Cricket Elections scheduled for the 20th of May 2021.

The trio was to contest for the posts of President, Vice President, and Secretary of SLC.

‘Sri Lanka Cricket now languishes at the bottom of the ICC rankings in all three formats of the game, not least due to the maladministration and chicanery of its incumbent office bearers,” they said in a letter to the Elections Commission.
