COLOMBO (News1st): Only a few buses will operate between provinces tomorrow since inter-provincial travel restrictions will continue to be in effect, authorities said. "Buses will operate within provinces. We will deploy limited inter-provincial buses to transport state and private sector employees, " Kingsley Ranawaka, the Sri Lanka Transport Board Chairman, said. According to The National Transport Commission, private inter-provincial buses were advised to operate based on the necessity of state and private-sector workers. The Railways Department says trains will be scheduled to travel from many main cities to Colombo for the ease of essential service providers in both the private and state sectors. State Institutions will operate with limited staff from tomorrow (17th). Employees who travel between provinces must carry their company ID and a letter issued by the head of the institution, according to the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration J.J Rathnasiri.
