13 Million Sri Lankans to be vaccinated to prevent COVID-19 spread

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka expects to vaccinate 13 million of its citizens from across the country, said Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi on Friday (14).

1.1 people living in the Western Province were administered with the COVID-19 vaccine as of Friday (14) in the Western Provice, she said.

The Health Minister said when the vaccination drive in the Western Province is complete the vaccination process will move to the Kandy, Ratnapura and Kurunegala Districts and the direct vaccines to other districts as well.
