COLOMBO (News 1st): The showery condition over South-Western and North-Western parts of the island is likely to enhance during the next few days, the Department of Meteorology said on Thursday (May 13).

Heavy falls exceeding 100 mm could be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department noted.

According to the weather advisory, wind speed can increase up to 40-50 kmph at times over in the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces and in the Hambantota district.
