COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has inquired about the condition of former Maldivian President and current Speaker Mohamed Nasheed who is receiving treatment in an Intensive Care Unit after being seriously injured in a bomb attack.
The Prime Minister made a telephone call to Mohamed Nasheed's father on Tuesday (11), to inquire about the Former President's health condition, said the Prime Minister's Office.
The Prime Minister wished Nasheed a speedy recovery and requested that he be informed if Nasheed requires any help in his recovery.
Nasheed, the president of the ruling Maldivian Democratic Party and the current parliament speaker, was critically injured after a bomb exploded as he left his family home in the capital Malé on the 06th of May.
