Cabinet approves concessions for Inter-Province bus operators

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Cabinet of Ministers granted approval to provide concessions to continue the inter-province bus transportation amidst the Covid – 19 Pandemic. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal tabled by the Minister of Transport to provide the following concessions for the bus owners from 01st April 2021 to 31st September 2021 by considering the bus transportation is not operated regularly due to the impact of the Covid – 19 pandemic situation. - Charge only 50% of the annual tender deposits. - Charge only 50% of the expressway temporary permit charges.
