548 people arrested for violating quarantine orders; Police

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 548 people on Monday (10) for failing to wear face masks and maintain social distance.
Since the 30th of October 2020 a total of 7,864 were arrested for the above mentioned offenses.
120 mobile vendors were subject to inspection by Sri Lanka Police and the Health Authorities on Monday (10) and 572 vehicles were subject to inspections at the 12 road blocks set up at the exits of the Western Province, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.
