COLOMBO (News 1st): Governor of the Eastern Province, Anuradha Yahampath on Monday (May 10) instructed security authorities to implement the necessary measures in order to impose movement restrictions between districts within the Eastern Province.
The instructions were issued in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Governor Anuradha Yahampath told News 1st on Monday evening (May 11).
“In order to contain the virus, stringent measures should be implemented starting with the restrictions on movement,” she said.
According to Eastern Province Governor, Anuradha Yahampath, the people are requested to limit visiting the city after 6:00 pm, whilst businesses EXCLUDING those that provide essential services are requested to close after 6:00 pm.
