COLOMBO (News 1st): Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa issuing a special message in line with the International Labour Day, said the country has fallen into a situation where national resources are being sold owing to poor economic management.

He added that attempts had been made to suppress the voice of the opposition.

It states that state repression has been directed against the opposition and that the Government has launched an operation to push the country and the people into darkness by pushing the ambitious agenda aside from building the nation.

The May Day celebrations of the Samagi Janabalaweyaga was held under the auspices of Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
