COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Navy personnel had opened fire at a lorry that defied orders to stop in Wadamarachchi, Jaffna.

Sri Lanka Police said no injuries were reported in Thursday (29) evenings shooting adding the Sri Lanka Navy had ordered the lorry to stop, but it defied the order and continued to move forward.

Sri Lanka Navy personnel had then opened fire at the tyres of the lorry, said Sri Lanka Police adding the lorry is now in the custody of the Point Pedro Police.
