Don't delay visiting LRH for treatment of Children

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) has requested parents NOT to delay visiting the hospital for treatment of children, due to fears of contracting COVID-19. Director at the LRH, Dr. G. Wijesuriya, on Friday (Apr. 30) URGED parents NOT to delay visiting the hospital to obtain treatment for the children as that could worsen their health conditions. Whilst pointing out that certain parents are reluctant to visit the hospital, Dr. Wijesuriya emphasized, the hospital is prepared to provide treatment 24*7 and there was no reason to panic about contracting the virus at the hospital. "The general patients will NOT be admitted and treated along with COVID-19 patients under any circumstances," LRH Director - Dr. Wijesuriya assured. According to Dr. Wijesuriya, children who are diagnosed with COVID-19 and their parents will be directed for treatment at relevant COVID-19 treatment hospitals.
