State sector employees to report to work in batches

COLOMBO (News 1st): State sector employees will report to work in batches starting today (Apr. 27), the Ministry of Public Administration said. This decision was reached taking into account the prevailing COVID-19 high-risk situation, J. J. Ratnasiri, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration told News 1st. The respective circular is due to be issued on Tuesday (Apr. 27), specifically for the Western province and the districts of Kurunegala and Gampaha, noted Ratnasiri. According to Secretary J. J. Ratnasiri, the circular will be issued allowing Heads of the Institutions to call employees to work as required. A final decision in this regard will be taken on Tuesday (Apr. 27), he further noted.
