COLOMBO (News 1st): The COVID-19 pandemic situation in Sri Lanka has reached a high-risk level, warned Dr. Asela Gunawardena, the Director-General of Health Services. Whilst commenting on the situation at hospitals, Dr. Gunawardena pointed out that there are adequate stocks of medical oxygen required to treat all COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals at present. "Moreover, the companies that supply medical Oxygen have also assured the health authorities that there are adequate facilities to increase the capacity if required," Dr. Gunawardena further noted. Given the prevailing high-risk situation, the general public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and strictly adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, Dr. Asela Gunawardena, the country's top health official stressed.   [playlist images="false" artists="false" tracklist="false" ids="564634"]
