Over 02 Mn PCR tests in Sri Lanka since October 2020; 895 positive cases on Saturday (24)

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka recorded a total of 895 COVID_19 cases on Saturday (24) said the Department of Government Information.

862 of these cases were from the Peliyagoda Cluster while 18 cases were from the Prison Cluster. In addition, 15 returnees from overseas also tested positive for the coronavirus. National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID - 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said a total of 5,159 PCR tests were carried out on Saturday (24), while since the 04th of October 2020 a total of 2,173,245 PCR tests were carried out in Sri Lanka.
