Concerns over foolproof sticker on liquor bottles

COLOMBO (News1st): Opposition parliamentarian Buddhika Pathirana has raised concerns over an Indian company that has received the tender to paste foolproof stickers on alcohol bottles. "The sticker pasted on a bottle has a barcode on it. When you scan the barcode with our phones, it returns a message saying that there is no information," Pathirana, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya parliamentarian noted. He recalled that the tender had been awarded to the Indian company identified as MSP under the previous government as well. "The Director of this company Prathap Singh, as well as the General Manager of the regulatory authority named the Kenya Bureau, were arrested for a similar scam this company has committed in Kenya," Pathirana noted.
