Health guidelines on re-opening of Universities issued

COLOMBO (News 1st): The health guidelines pertaining to the resumption of academic activities at universities were issued on Monday (Apr. 19), the University Grants Commission (UGC) said. All health regulations and guidelines were forwarded to the universities on Monday (Apr. 19), Prof. Sampath Amarathunga, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) told News 1st. Accordingly, permission has been granted to resume academic activities at all universities. Minister of Education, Prof. G.L. Peiris on Monday (Apr. 19) announced that academic activities at all universities across the island will resume on the 27th of April.
