Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka's expressways generated a revenue of Rs. 349 million in 11 days, said the Department of Government Information quoting Minister of Highways Johnston Fernando.
During the 11 days of the festive season over 1.2 million vehicles had used the Colombo - Katunayake Expressway, Colombo Outer Circular Expressway, and the Southern Expressway. Accordingly, on the 10th of April 141,187 vehicles had used the expressways generating a revenue of more than Rs. 38 million in a day for the state.
