Colombo (News 1st); It was Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe who prevented the arrest and the imprisonment of Gotabaya Rajapaksa during the administration of the government of good governance, claimed Ex-Minister, Mervyn Silva, on Friday (13).

“Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, who was Justice Minister at the time, said Gotabaya’s arrest is illegal and would not allow it to happen as long as he is the Justice Minister,” said Mervyn Silva.

The Ex-Minister went on to note that he already reserved his grave in the cemetery, adding ‘Mervyn Silva fears none’.

The President must understand the post of President is temporary and the nature of humanity is forever, said Silva.

“Be a human and not a Hiter,” he said in a comment to the President.
