All Banks will remain open on Special Government Holiday

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Central Bank on Sunday (11) announced that all Public and Private Banks in the country will remain opened on Monday (12), the government-declared special holiday.

The 12th of April was declared as a Special Government Holiday, said the Ministry of Public Administration last week. Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration J.J. Ratnasiri said the decision was made on the instructions of the President to benefit those who would be celebrating the Sinhala & Tamil New Year on the 13th and 14th of April.
