Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Trade Minister proposed to parliament to arrest those attached to the Movement for Consumer Rights Protection for spreading false information on the relief package introduced by the government.
“Recently, a movement on protecting consumer rights had made serious statements against the state and the program. Therefore, they need to be arrested and investigated,” said Minister Bandula Gunawardena.
Sathosa is continuing to sell the Rs. 1000/- package containing 12 essential items and the package would suffice for a week for one person, said the Minister.
