Colombo (News 1st); Social media likens the speaker to a famous Sri Lankan Teledrama character 'Poli Mudalali from Kopi Kade', said opposition MP Thushara Indunil on Thursday (08).

Ruling party member Shantha Bandara said there is no such report on social media and urged the opposition to refrain from making such remarks. The opposition criticized the conduct of the Speaker and the Chief Government Whip in Parliament on Thursday (08). S. M. Marikkar representing the Samagi Jana Balavegaya accused the Chief Government Whip of insulting the member of the opposition during parliamentary sessions.
