Govt. to ensure reasonable prices for goods - Namal

Colombo (News 1st); The Government's position is to ensure people can purchase goods at reasonable prices, said Minister Namal Rajapaksa on Thursday (08).

"At present, goods are sold at reasonable prices via the Sathosa and the cooperatives," said the Minister adding the government will intervene to put an end to any malpractices that affect the people. 'The law will be enforced irrespective of the persons status and position,' he said adding the relevant institutions are already enforcing the necessary laws.
