Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lankans currently living overseas and who wish to return to Sri Lanka will no longer require approval from the Foreign Ministry.
Army Commander General Shavendra Silva speaking to News 1st said the decision was made following a review of the COVID-19 situation in Sri Lanka.
“Sri Lankans who are overseas faced difficulties in obtaining approval and therefore such a decision was made,” said General Silva.
