Be Extra Cautious during festival shopping - Advice from Police

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police urged the general public to follow the COVID-19 preventive guidelines during the upcoming holiday season. Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said it is mandatory to follow the guidelines when visiting an outlet or a mall to make purchases. Further, he urged the public to remain extra vigilant due to the rise in petty theft such as wallet and chain snatching. "Pay extra attention when visiting public places and walking down lonely roads," said the Police Spokesperson.
