Security tightened for Easter Sunday at churches

COLOMBO (News1st): Security has been provided to 1944 churches, cathedrals and shrines in line with Easter Sunday, police said. A total of 12,040 police officers have been deployed for security, police spokesperson Ajith Rohana said in a statement. He added that this includes 146 Special Task Force officers and 2,542 tri-forces personnel.
