Special security plan on Easter Sunday - police

COLOMBO (News1st): A special security plan will be implemented on Easter Sunday to provide security for churches, police spokesman Ajith Rohana has said. In a statement, Rohana noted that 9356 police officers including 146 Special Task Force personnel and 2542 tri-forces personnel will be dispatched for security. He added that mobile patrols will also operate around churches, cathedrals and shrines as well. According to the police spokesperson, security has been provided to 111 churches in Negombo, 101 in Chilaw, 98 of Batticaloa.
