Expert Committee on Solid Waste Management submits report to President

Colombo (News 1st); The report of the Expert Committee on Solid Waste Management was handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday (31).

On the instructions of the President, a 14-member committee was appointed last July to identify problems in waste management and propose solutions. Engineer Rohan Seneviratne was its Chairman and he handed over the report of the committee to the President. President Rajapaksa said that the expert report will be presented to the Cabinet, while the importance of a full follow-up on the report's recommendations was discussed at length, reported the Government Information Department.
