Met Office opened in Mullaithivu after 31 years

Colombo (News 1st); The Meteorological Data Collection Office of Mullaithivu was opened on Tuesday (23) after a period of 31 years, to coincide with World Meteorological Day.

This office was closed down in 1990 after the civil war in the North and East escalated. Meteorological Data Collection Office of Mullaithivu is important for collecting data east coast of Sri Lanka.
