COLOMBO(News 1st): What would be our fate if trees are wiped off from the environment? Why are the actions of some individuals inconsiderate? These are questions that have continued to trouble the nature-loving public in recent days. Today, the V-Force movement embarked on the Surakimu Sinharaja initiative, offering a new lease of hope for the environment, not by words, but through its actions. But, this is not the first time in which V-Force has stepped in to protect Mother Nature. Be it on the banks of the Kalu River, the Elle Reserve, and Fox Hill in Diyathalawa, V-Force has continued to engage in several eco-friendly initiatives in the country. V-Force members, environmental activists, civic groups and state organizations, joined hands in today’s initiative to plant saplings near a monastery in Sinharaja. For the nature-loving masses, preserving the Sinharaja forest and the environment for future generations continue to remain an aspiration. Today’s project will undoubtedly reap long-term benefits not just for the people, but for the water resources, and the flora and fauna of our country. Let us create a generation that protects the environment. Join hands with us, to save our Sinharaja.
