Air Force Officer dead in skydiving accident in Ampara

Colombo (News 1st); A Squadron Leader of the Sri Lanka Air Force died in a skydiving accident in the skies above Uhana in Ampara.

Sri Lanka Air Force said the tragedy took place during a parachute training exercise approximate 3500 ft above ground. A Sri Lanka Air Force Sergeant was injured in the incident and was rushed to the Ampara Hospital.
