544 COVID-19 fatalities in Sri Lanka; 06 deaths confirmed on Friday (19)

Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed six (06) deaths caused by Covid19 virus infection on Friday (19). Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 544. 

01.The deceased is a 70-year-old male resident from Polgahawela. He was transferred from Teaching Hospital Kurunegala to General Hospital Kandy where he died on 18.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

 

02.The deceased is a 79-year-old female resident from Suduhumpola. She died on 17.03.2021 while undergoing treatments at General Hospital Kandy. The cause of death is mentioned as a heart disease and Covid pneumonia.

 

03.The deceased is an 

83-year-old

 female resident from Wattala. She died on

 

19.02.2021 at her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as acute Covid

 

infection.

 

04.The deceased is a 

96-year-old

 female resident from 

Pitakotte

. She died on

 

14.03.2021 at her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as acute Covid

 

infection.

 

05.The deceased is a 

72-year-old

 male resident from 

Ganemulla

. He died on

 

18.02.2021 at his residence and the cause of death is mentioned as acute Covid

 

infection acute diabetes and high blood pressure.

 

06.The deceased is a 

73-year-old

 female resident from 

Chilawathurai

. She died on

 

10.02.2021 at her residence. The cause of death is mentioned as acute Covid

 

infection.
