Colombo (News 1st); The agreement for the West Container Terminal development will be signed following Attorney General approval, said Chairman of the Sri Lanka Port Authority General (Retired) Daya Ratnayaka.
“SLPA was instructed to work with the Indian investors and we are currently discussing matters with them,” he said adding once Attorney General approval is given, the SLPA proposal will be forwarded to the government.
He further said the cabinet had approved that 85% of WCT will be with the investor and 15% will be with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority adding the project will most likely commence in mid-May of 2021.
