China approves USD 1.5 bn swap with Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News1st): China has approved a 1.54 billion US dollar currency swap with Sri Lanka, State Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal has said.
Cabraal had told a local newspaper that the deal will allow the island to weather “present difficulties" in the economic front.
