04 COVID-19 victims to be buried in Oddamavadi on Sunday (07)

Colombo (News 1st); The bodies of 04 more COVID-19 victims will be buried at the dedicated burial site identified in Oddamavadi in the Batticaloa District on Sunday (07). General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and the Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) speaking to News 1st said 11 bodies of people who died of COVID-19 were buried at the site on Saturday (06). On Friday (05), a total of 09 bodies were buried at the site identified in Oddamavadi in the Batticaloa District. The bodies were transported to Oddamavadi by the Sri Lanka Army, and the burials were carried out by army personnel, said the General.
