04 police officers interdicted over assault on law student

Colombo (News 1st); 04 police officers attached to the Peliyagoda Police station were interdicted following an incident of an assault on a law student inside the police station.

Sri Lanka Police said Senior DIG In-charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon had given the necessary instructions to interdict the police officers in question and launch an inquiry. Accordingly, 01 Chief Inspector and 03 Police Constables were interdicted.
