Supply of drinking water to be limited: NWSDB

COLOMBO (News 1st): The supply of drinking water for several areas will be limited given the dry weather that has affected the country at present, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said on Monday (Feb. 22). The restriction comes against the backdrop of major reservoirs and drinking water sources having dried up as a result of the prevailing weather conditions, the Water Board pointed out. According to the Water Board, water will be supplied to the highlands under low-pressure conditions. The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has urged the general public to use water sparingly.
