COLOMBO (News 1st): Speaking at a press briefing this morning, Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Udaya Gammanpila said, under no circumstance are they prepared to lockdown any area in the country again.

Speaking about the moving forward in the face of the Pandemic, the Co-Cabinet Spokesman said, “The challenge in the future is to somehow live with COVID 19”.

Journalists questioned the Minister on the statement made by the Prime Minister regarding the approval of COVID-19 burials, to which the Minister responded saying, “The Prime Minister stated his aspirations, but the decisions regarding COVID-19 can only be taken by the Director General of Health Services.”
