Colombo (News 1st); Concerns were raised in Parliament on Friday (12) with regard to certain details of Presidential Commission reports, which are in the sole custody of the President, being reported by certain media outlets. "The reports of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on incidents of Political Victimization and the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on the 2019 April 21st Attacks are solely with the President," pointed out JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake adding certain newspapers however are reporting matters connecting him to these reports. The reports must be tabled in Parliament, urged Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 'Certain newspapers are reporting extracts from these confidential reports and are revealing the respondents in certain matters as well,' pointed out the opposition lawmaker. Anura Kumara Dissanayake said as public funds were used for these commissions and reports, it is imperative the reports are being tabled in Parliament, at a time when extracts are published by certain print media. In response to the concerns raised by Dissanayake, Leader of the House, Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said the JVP leader, a senior politician, should not be deterred by those who publish various reports which can be even termed as false or sensationalized reports.
