Colombo (News 1st); A fired-up Anura Kumara Dissanayake (JVP leader) told the Speaker of Parliament, that his conduct is very much disappointing.
"I've been watching your conduct closely and you are not an organizer from the ruling party," he told the speaker on Thursday (11).
Anura Kumara Dissanayake said he posed a question about a gazette expecting an answer from the relevant State Minister (Ajith Nivard Cabraal) in Parliament, however, when the relevant State Minister was responding to it in an unnecessary manner the speaker did not take any action to stop it.
Dissanayake said, "You must understand your duty and you are the chair put in charge to protect the rights of all the parliamentarians."
Anura Kumara Dissanayake fired at the speaker for permitting the comments made by the State Minister over the JVPs past, in Parliament.
"If one wants to go back to the past, I can speak of how a person's sister was involved with Perpetual (Treasuries Limited), how money was looted from Treasury Bonds and how money was sent off to Greece while the EPF was also looted," said the MP referring to the State Minister as a 'Thief'.
"You are aware of how we conduct ourselves in Parliament and at the Party Leaders meeting, I cannot help it if a person who was elected to Parliament for the first time, is unaware of it," he said.
The issue arose when MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake raised a question in Parliament over the withdrawal of a gazette, from the State Minister.
