05 COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday (10); death toll at 375

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Director-General of Health Services confirmed that five (05) COVID-19 deaths were reported in the country on Wednesday (Feb. 10), raising Sri Lanka's COVID-19 death toll to 375. The details of the deceased are as follows: 01. A 73-year-old female from Colombo 05. She died on the 9th of February 2021, while undergoing treatment at the Colombo General Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as an acute Covid pneumonia, heart disease and stroke. 02. A 51-year-old female from Wattala. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid and transferred from a private hospital in Colombo to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where she died on the 8th of February 2021. The cause of death is mentioned as an acute Covid pneumonia. 03. A 67-year-old male from Aluthgama. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid and transferred from a private hospital in Colombo to the IDH where he died on the 9th of February 2021. The cause of death is mentioned as blood poisoning, acute kidney disease and Covid pneumonia. 04. A 75-year-old male from Gampaha. He died on the 10th of February 2021, while undergoing treatment at the Divulapitiya District Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia. 05. A 61-year-old male from Wellampitiya. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid and transferred from the Colombo General Hospital to Iranawila Treatment Centre where he died on the 10th of February 2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.
