150 children exposed to COVID-19; LRH Director

Colombo (News 1st); Approximately 150 children at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children were exposed to COVID-19, said LRH Director G. Wijesuirya on Wednesday (03).

Further, 100 mothers and fathers of children are also infected with the coronavirus, he said. Commenting on the death of an 18-month-old child as a result of COVID-19 infection on Tuesday (02), the director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children said the child was in critical condition upon admission and was immediately moved to the ICU. He urged parents to take their children to the hospital immediately if they develop symptoms.
