Vaccine strengthened process to combat COVID-19; Health Minister

Colombo (News 1st); Importing the COVID vaccine to Sri Lanka, further strengthened the process of combating the coronavirus, said Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi on Friday (29).

She issued a statement from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases where she is being treated for the coronavirus and said she is pleased with the vaccination process. The ‘AstraZeneca Covishield’ vaccine was given to 5132 people by Friday (29) evening at 09 selected hospitals across the country.
