Colombo (News 1st); The daily revenue of the Sri Lanka Transport Board has dropped by Rs. 40 Million.
SLTB Operations Superintendent A. S. B. Weerasooriya speaking to News 1st the revenue drop was the result of adopting the process to limit passengers to the seating capacity of individual buses.
He said the daily revenue of the Sri Lanka Transport Board currently remains between Rs. 40 to Rs. 50 Million, while SLTB enjoyed a daily revenue between Rs. 75 to Rs. 80 Million before the regulations came into effect.
More than 4500 Sri Lanka Transport Board buses are in operation across the country, he added.
