Special Traffic plan in Colombo ahead of Independence Day

Colombo (News 1st); A special traffic plan will be in place from Saturday (30) surrounding Independence Square ahead of the 73rd Independence Day celebrations in Colombo.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience. Independence Day rehearsals will take place for a period of 05 days from the 30th of January to the 03rd of February. This traffic plan will be in force from 06 AM to 01 AM on those days. On Independence day vehicular movement on all roads surrounding independence square will be restricted from 04 AM to 01 PM.
